In web design, cross-browser compatibility refers the relationship between a web page and the web browser displaying the page.

Description

A web page may appear different, behave differently, in different web browsers.

Compatibility refers to consistency in appearance and behave from one browser to another.

Compatibility is a matter of degree of acceptability.

Many different web browsers exists; some will always be incompatible, to some degree.
