Web design problems
This section applies to technical support for web design problems.
Upload your work to classroom web server
Upload your web page(s) and associated resources (CSS files, images, etc.) to the classroom website.
Use any FTP client to upload your work. (See below for more information on FTP.)
Browse your web page online to confirm that you can see the problem online.
Example:
Copy the URL from your browser's address bar -- in the next step, paste this URL into an email.
Send an email to the instructor
Create a new email, and paste the URL for the problem web page in two places:
- The subject line of the email
- The body of the email
In the body of the email, in addition to the URL of the problem web page, write a brief but thorough statement of the problem:
- What you want it to do
- What it actually does
Send your email to: karl.jones@hennepintech.edu
FTP problems
Use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to transfer files between your local computer and a remote web server.
You will need:
- An FTP client of your choice (any will do)
- Credentials - host name, username, password - get these from the instructor
