A syllabus (pl. syllabuses or syllabi) is an outline and summary of topics to be covered in an education or training course.
A syllabus is descriptive: it describes goals, without prescribing methods.
Curriculum
A curriculum is prescriptive: it prescribes the topics to be covered.
